KCC Classes
The mindset behind our training goes beyond firearms. Although we pride ourselves in sharing proven techniques with those new to firearms, we recognize there are other vital aspects of personal safety.
16 HOUR LLINOIS CONCEALED CARRY TRAINING
Illinois requires 16 hours of firearms training. Our 2-day course fulfills that requirement and also provides you with an NRA Certification.
The IL CCL expires 5 years after issuance. Illinois requires a minimum 3 hours of firearms training for CCL renewal. Our 3 1/2 hour course fulfills that requirement.
ATTENTION VETERANS: Illinois will allow you to apply your military service toward 8 hours of training credit. However, we highly recommend that you take the full 16 hour course. As a "thank you" for your service, we will provide the full 16 hour course for the cost of the 8 hour course. That's a 30% discount. Just sign up an 8hr class, then take a look at the 16hr class schedule, and let us know which one you would like to attend
ACCEPTED PRIOR TRAINING CREDITS*
If you have completed one or more of the following, you may subtract hours from your training time requirement.
8 Hours:
- Previously qualified Law Enforcement Officer or Correctional Officer
- Current or prior US military service with honorable discharge
*Applicants may only apply up to 8 hours of previous training credit.
ADDITIONAL TRAINING OFFERED
Developing a Personal & Home Protection Plan is a key component of not only preparing for how we should (or might) react if confronted by a violent crime, but also how we might avoid violent crime in the first place. Within this lesson, Michael Martin explains that developing a protection plan is about much more than becoming proficient with a firearm or writing up a home invasion plan. It’s a plan that must encompass awareness, avoidance, and preparation, so that we’re less likely to find ourselves in a situation where we have no other option than to use our firearm, rather than more likely.
Gun Cleaning & Maintenance: This class will discuss overall cleaning of handguns, preventative maintenance and regular standards. Additionally, students are welcome to bring firearms and cleaning kits and have the instructor help with their specific make and model.
LOCATIONS
- Our O'Fallon classroom is located at 6 Eagle Center with live fire qualification conducted in Columbia, at Shooter’s Firearms & Indoor Range. This location serves the communities of Swansea, Belleville, Shiloh, Fairview Heights, O'Fallon, Scott AFB, and all of the St. Louis Metro East area around St. Clair County.
